Welcome to Church on The Rock. We are committed to offering the love of God and His teaching through as many different avenues as possible. We believe that faith in God, through Jesus Christ, can make a difference in who we are, how we live and in the choices we make. It’s a fact that the world can be pretty tough on all of us. But a committed relationship with God enables us to get through the minefields of life reasonably intact. Yes, we can, and will, be wounded in some of the battles. Jesus certainly was, but He emerged victorious in the end, as will all who put their faith and trust in Him. Jesus said, “Come to me all of you who are tired and weary and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Isn’t that what some of us are looking for…a little rest in this hurried and hectic world? Jesus went on to say, “I have come that you might have life and have it to the full.” (John 10:10) Another translation offers “and have it in abundance.”
I like the idea of having a full, rich life that has purpose and meaning. How about you? At Church on The Rock we are dedicated to helping all who enter our doors to discover that abundant life that comes through faith. Several opportunities to discover that “life” can be found in our church family, beginning with worship services that are tailored toward specific needs. On Sunday we offer two morning services. The 9:30 AM service is more traditional (hymns, responsive readings, etc.) and the 11 AM service has a more contemporary (modern) feel and pace. On the first Saturday of the month we offer a family worship service, “Family Night Live.” This is a high-energy service geared toward families with young children and incorporates drama, puppets, music, crafts, and more. It begins at 5:30 PM with singing and worship and finishes with dinner served @ 6:30 PM. We also gather in celebration monthly, usually on the 4th Saturday evening at 7:00 PM, to worship and pursue biblical truths concerning the relevant topics of today. The approach is experiential and relational as we strive to touch the lives of those seeking a new and exciting style of worship. This worship gathering is held in the Youth Building.
